Navratri Celebration!

The Navratri Festival celebrations held at Judgemeadow between October 1st and October 9th were deemed an outstanding success by all involved.

Navratri is a Hindu festival dedicated the worship of the deity Durga.
The word Navratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit; 'nava' meaning nine and 'ratri' meaning nights.
It is during these nine nights and ten days that the nine forms of Devi are worshipped.

Events manager Rita D'Silva Griffiths said,
"We were honoured to host the local Navratri Festival here at Judgemeadow. It was a pleasure to see so many of the local community gathered together enjoying the festivities. We hope that our association with the Sri Bardai Brahmin Samaj (Leicester) group continues for many years to come."
