Bali Rai to Open LRC Reading Sanctuary

We are delighted to announce that top local author Bali Rai will visit Judgemeadow on Friday 2nd December, to officially open the 'Reading Sanctuary' located within the Learning Resource Centre.

This specially designed area of the LRC, tucked away from the mainstream activity of the library, is intended to replicate a cosy living room; providing a quiet space where dedicated reading can be enjoyed in less formal, more comfortable, surroundings.

The Reading Sanctuary has soft furnishings, cushions, a bean-bag, woven rug, shelves of newly published books and a coffee table and lamp for extra ambience.

LRC Manager Ruth Stone, who oversaw the project, said,

"We are extremely proud of our new Reading Sanctuary where students will be able to enjoy quiet reading. We are very excited about next week's visit by local author and former Judgemeadow student, Bali Rai, who will cut the ribbon and declare the space officially open!"

Vice Principal Della Bartram, who instigated the project, added,

"We are delighted that Bali Rai will be joining us at the official opening of our Reading Sanctuary.  His wonderful, inspirational books have pride of place in our LRC."
